Warranty Policy
At Lave Studio, every basin and vanity unit is made to order. We take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our work, and this policy reflects our commitment to your long-term satisfaction.
1. Introduction
This policy sets out the terms of the warranty we provide for all products purchased directly from Lave Studio, whether through our studio, our website, or our trade partners.
2. Warranty Coverage
2.1 What Is Covered
Lave Studio provides a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the following periods from the date of delivery:
- Bespoke solid stone and resin basins — 5 years

During the applicable warranty period, we will, at our discretion, repair or replace any product found to have a genuine manufacturing defect, free of charge.
Please note: LED lighting and heated mirror pads are electrical components. These are only covered by this warranty where they have been installed by a suitably qualified electrician in compliance with Part P of the Building Regulations and current UK wiring regulations (BS 7671). Electrical components sourced independently by the customer are excluded from this warranty.

- Discolouration or staining resulting from contact with incompatible substances (e.g. bleach, solvent-based cleaners, limescale removers)
- Damage caused by exposure to excessive heat or direct flame
- Modifications, alterations, or repairs carried out by a third party without prior written consent from Lave Studio
- Consequential or indirect losses arising from any product defect
- Products purchased second-hand or from unauthorised resellers
3. How to Make a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please contact us as soon as you become aware of a potential defect:
- Email: [email protected]
- Website: lavestudio.uk
When contacting us, please provide:
- Your full name and delivery address
- Your original order number or proof of purchase
- A clear description of the issue

We aim to acknowledge all warranty enquiries within 2 business days and to provide a proposed resolution within 10 business days of receiving all necessary information.
4. Our Resolution Process
Upon reviewing your claim, Lave Studio may, at our sole discretion:
- Arrange for a studio representative or approved technician to inspect the product in situ
- Provide instructions for the safe return of the product to our studio for assessment
- Carry out a repair on-site or at our studio
- Provide a replacement product of equivalent specification
Where a product needs to be returned to our studio, we will cover the cost of collection and re-delivery within mainland Great Britain. Additional charges may apply for deliveries to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, and international locations.
5. Installation Requirements
To maintain the validity of this warranty, products must be installed:
- By a suitably qualified plumber or bathroom installer
- In accordance with all current UK Building Regulations and relevant British Standards
- Using fixings and supports appropriate for the weight and dimensions of the product
- In compliance with our installation guidance provided at point of delivery
Lave Studio strongly recommends retaining documentary evidence of your installation, including the installer's details and any relevant certification, as this may be requested in the event of a claim.
6. Care & Maintenance
Proper care will help protect the longevity of your Lave Studio product and preserve this warranty. Detailed care instructions specific to your product's material and finish are provided in your order documentation. General guidance includes:
- Clean regularly with a soft cloth and mild, pH-neutral soap or approved stone cleaner
- Avoid leaving standing water or toiletry products on porous surfaces for extended periods
- Do not use bleach, acid-based cleaners, abrasive pads, or solvent-based products
- Reseal natural stone surfaces periodically as recommended in your care guide
7. Bespoke & Custom Products
All Lave Studio products are made to order. Natural materials such as stone, marble, and concrete will each display unique characteristics — variations in veining, tone, texture, and colour patterning are inherent to these materials and are not considered defects. Where sintered stone is used, this is an engineered man-made material manufactured to consistent tolerances; however, minor surface variation and tonal differences between production batches may still occur and are not considered defects.
Where samples or renders have been provided during the design process, these are representative guides only. Natural variation between samples and finished pieces does not constitute grounds for a warranty claim.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lave Studio's total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes Lave Studio's liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
9. Your Statutory Rights
This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable UK consumer protection legislation. You may have additional rights that this policy does not describe.
10. Trade & Commercial Customers
For products supplied to trade customers, contractors, or commercial projects, warranty terms are as set out in the applicable trade agreement. Where no trade agreement exists, the terms of this policy apply, with the exception that statutory consumer rights provisions do not apply to business-to-business transactions.
11. Governing Law
This warranty policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
