Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to the use of the Lave website, quote requests, commissioned orders and related customer communications for our bespoke bathroom basins and vanity units.
1. About Lave
Lave is a London-based studio creating bespoke bathroom basins and vanity units. References in these terms to “Lave”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean Lave / Lave Studio. For any questions, please contact [email protected] or call +44 (0)7902 193 537.
2. Using Our Website
You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse the site, attempt to interfere with its operation, upload harmful material, or use content from the site without permission.
Product imagery, copy, drawings, renders and branding remain our intellectual property unless agreed otherwise in writing.
3. Quotes and Design Enquiries
Submitting a configurator request, enquiry or message through the website does not create a binding order. It is an invitation for us to review your brief and prepare a quotation or design response.
Quotes are based on the information supplied at the time. If dimensions, finishes, delivery details or scope change, we may revise the quotation accordingly.
4. When an Order Is Confirmed
An order is formed only when we confirm it in writing and, where applicable, receive the agreed deposit or payment. Before production starts, we may ask you to approve dimensions, layout, material selections, drawings or final specification notes.
You are responsible for checking all approved details carefully, including dimensions, bowl position, finishes, access constraints and any information provided to us by your contractor, designer or installer.
5. Bespoke Manufacture and Natural Variation
Each Lave piece is made individually to the client’s specification. Small variations in grain, tone, size, texture, veining, joins, surface character and handcrafted detailing are part of the nature and beauty of bespoke work and do not constitute defects.
Where natural materials, veneers, stone-effect finishes or handmade components are used, samples, photography and renders are indicative rather than identical guarantees.
6. Pricing and Payment
Prices are stated in the quotation unless agreed otherwise. Delivery, specialist access arrangements, installation, plumbing, electrical work, stone templating, disposal and site preparation are excluded unless specifically listed.
Payment timing, deposit requirements and any staged payments will be set out in the relevant quotation or order confirmation.
7. Lead Times and Delivery
Typical production lead time is approximately 5 to 8 weeks from final confirmation, but this is an estimate rather than a guaranteed deadline. Lead times may vary according to specification complexity, supplier availability, approvals and delivery destination.
You are responsible for ensuring safe and suitable access to the property, checking that the item can be received into the room of installation, and arranging competent handling on site if required.
8. Installation and Site Readiness
Unless specifically agreed in writing, Lave does not provide installation services. All basins and furniture should be installed by appropriately qualified professionals.
We are not responsible for issues caused by incorrect installation, incorrect measurements supplied by others, unsuitable wall construction, inadequate support, site conditions, or alterations made after delivery.
9. Cancellations, Returns and Damage in Transit
Because our products are made to your exact specification, bespoke orders cannot usually be cancelled, returned or refunded for change of mind once materials have been ordered or production has started, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
If an item arrives damaged or with an issue that is apparent on delivery, you must notify us within 24 hours of receipt and provide clear photographs of the item, packaging and any labels. We will review each case personally and, where appropriate, arrange a suitable remedy such as repair, replacement components, remake or another proportionate solution in keeping with the nature of the commission.
If you discover a manufacturing issue that was not reasonably visible on delivery, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assess it fairly.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our liability is limited to the amount paid to us for the relevant order.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, contractor costs, project delay costs, hotel or accommodation costs, or losses arising from inaccurate information supplied by others.
11. Privacy and Website Data
Our handling of personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy and our use of cookies and local storage is explained in our Cookie Policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our website, services or legal obligations. The latest version published on this page will apply to future use of the site and future enquiries unless otherwise agreed in writing.
