A seventeenth-century cottage in Burford or a converted barn near Stow was not built with a bathroom in mind, and the walls prove it — thick, uneven, and never a clean standard width. Fired at over 1200°C into a fully non-porous surface, it does not absorb water or stain, and its matte finish keeps limescale far less visible than gloss ceramic. A damp cloth keeps it looking new.
