The housing here spans four centuries. The villages around Guildford and Godalming are full of timber-framed cottages and Arts and Crafts villas where nothing is square; Esher, Weybridge and Cobham run to substantial Edwardian and inter-war houses as well as gated new-builds; and the towns mix Victorian terraces with modern family homes. Across all of them, the brief is the same — a bathroom that feels considered rather than off-the-shelf.

What that means in practice is that the wall you want your basin on is rarely a clean, standard width — and even where it is, a developer's 600mm unit often looks mean in a generous room. Why Sintered Stone Suits a Surrey Home

Two things matter in a Surrey bathroom: it needs to be hard-wearing, and it needs to stay looking new in hard water. This part of the South East sits firmly in a hard-water zone, and limescale is the enemy of most basin materials. Sintered stone is fired at over 1200°C into a completely non-porous surface — it does not absorb water, it does not stain, and because the finish is matte and consistent, limescale is far less visible than it is on gloss ceramic. A wipe with a damp cloth is genuinely all it needs.

It is also a single integrated piece. The countertop and the bowl are formed as one continuous sheet, so there is no silicone joint to discolour and no rim to trap water — which matters just as much in a family bathroom in Woking as in a principal en-suite in Cobham.

What You Can Specify

Every Lave vanity is drawn from your measurements. You choose:

• Width — anywhere from a 700mm cloakroom unit to a 2400mm double-basin run.
• Bowl position — centred, offset to clear a chimney breast, or a twin-bowl layout for a principal en-suite.
• Overflow or no overflow — a cleaner, joint-free bowl if you prefer.
• Cabinet finish — warm oak and walnut through to handleless matte, chosen to sit with the rest of the room.

How It Works if You Are in Surrey

We are not a walk-in showroom, and you do not need to travel into London. You send measurements (or a rough sketch and a few photos), we draw the unit and send a full quote within 48 hours. Once you approve the technical drawing, your basin is made to your spec and delivered to your Surrey address ready to install — no on-site cutting of the stone.
